With the generous support of Qatar Charity, Rangpur Eye Hospital successfully implemented a month-long comprehensive eye care program to provide free, quality, and accessible eye health services for disadvantaged communities across Bangladesh. Under the Vision Initiative 2025, multiple free eye camps were organized in the Rangpur, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions, through which approximately 2,000 cataract patients received sight-restoring surgeries, greatly improving their quality of life. The program was successfully executed through Rangpur Eye Hospital’s specialized medical services, skilled ophthalmologists, advanced surgical facilities, and dedicated post-operative care.
As part of its commitment to child eye health, Rangpur Eye Hospital, with the support of Spreeha Foundation, successfully organized the School Sight Testing Program at Jamubari Dangapara Government Primary School, Badargonj, Rangpur to ensure early detection and timely management of vision problems among school children. The program provided free vision screening, enabling the identification of refractive errors and other eye conditions at an early stage. Students requiring further examination or treatment were referred to Rangpur Eye Hospital. The initiative also raised awareness among students and teachers about the importance of regular eye check-ups, contributing to better eye health and improved academic performance.
